Abstract: Welded steel pipes have extremely wide applications due to their flexible dimensions, diverse processes, and economical cost. These mainly include:

1. Fluid transportation: such as urban pipe networks and long-distance pipelines for water, oil, and gas; this is its largest application area.

2. Structural support: square and rectangular tubes in the construction field, steel structure trusses, machine frames for machinery and equipment, bridges, ship structures, etc.

3. Pile foundation engineering: spiral welded pipe piles for the foundations of large buildings, docks, and bridges.

4. Other industrial uses: such as oil cooling pipes for transformers, heat exchanger tubes for boilers, containers, vehicle manufacturing, etc. They almost cover all basic industrial sectors of the national economy.

In the energy transportation sector, large-diameter, high-grade LSAW and SSAW welded pipes are the absolute mainstay in constructing the national energy artery-long-distance oil and gas transmission pipelines. For example, the West-East Gas Pipeline project extensively uses X80 grade welded pipes. In urban construction, small- and medium-diameter ERW welded pipes (often galvanized) form the fundamental arteries of building water supply, drainage, gas, and HVAC systems. Meanwhile, various sizes of square and rectangular welded pipes, due to their aesthetic appearance and excellent bending resistance, are widely used in stadiums, convention centers, high-rise building steel structures, and factory trusses. In infrastructure, large-diameter, thick-walled spiral welded pipes are used as bridge piers, dock steel pipe piles, and deep foundation piles for super high-rise buildings, providing strong vertical bearing capacity for these massive projects. Furthermore, in machinery manufacturing, welded pipes are used as hydraulic supports, conveyor rollers, and engineering machinery booms; in furniture and home appliances, they are used as bed frames, table and chair legs, and internal structural components for refrigerators and air conditioners. Their wide range of applications makes them veritable "capillaries and skeletons of industry."
